Dreamcast savegames
When you play a Dreamcast game, a file is created and saved on your VMU (Visual Memory Unit). You can exchange these files with others and use their savegames (ie weapons or characters an other player has earned through playing). These files can also be transfered between a PC and a special Dreamcast memory card. The most popular, if not the only ones are the Nexus memory cards (no LCD display). They have two main features:
1. They have 4 different "pages" on which you can save your data, like 4 VMUs in one.
2. You can connect them to a PC with a cable.
It's not that simple though. You have to have the Dreamcast running and the Nexus memory card in your controller while the card is connected to your PC at the sime time. Then you need the software named "DC Linker" to transfer the files. You can also do a bunch of other things with this software like saving the icons of the savegames as a bmp image file.
Anyway, the files are called DCI files and only work on the Nexus card. The Sega VMU needs a different file format.
Some games like the Japanese version of Marvel VS Capcom 2 have specials like new characters that you have to earn. But these characters were only playable if you earned them by playing the home AND the arcade version. With your VMU you could bring your earned credits home. But for those not living in Japan, it meant never being able to select all characters.
Then when Capcom VS SNK2 came out, Capcom released a special edition with a bonus GD that had saves for most of their Dreamcast games, including MVC2. These saves are what you would end up playing through the whole game and earning everything.
I put up those files and some more I had on my Nexus, I didn't test them all though. If it's a save of a Japanese game for example it could also work for the European or the American version, test it.

Ok here you go, the flag tells you what version it is, the icon on the left is the image you would see in the VMU section in your Dreamcast menu and the VMU icon is for the Sega memory card while the other icon is the Nexus version (download to PC, transfer to Nexus card).
Of course I give no guarantees on anything, so don't blame me if you buy a Nexus and it doesn't work or if you still suck at playing your favourite game eventhough you got the new save file.
